SAILOR MOON POP

SCHOOL EXERCISE • 2020

“Sailor Moon Pop” is a 2nd year exercise. During this exercise, we had to choose a character from pop culture and reproduce their "pop" version in 3D. The constraint was that we only had to use 3DSMax modifiers to model the character, same with the basic shaders for the textures.

This exercise was a first step in 3D modeling. I had some difficulties, especially with the hair, but for the rest I think I did quite well with the level I had at that time. However, I like my staging, done on Photoshop, I find that the background corresponds well to the character.

ALL ASPECTS

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SEE ?

ORIGINAL POP

To model and texture in the simplest way possible

To think about a coherent staging in relation to my character

• Modeling ► My difficulties in modeling are clearly visible. It is obvious that in the future, I plan to follow tutorials in order to improve my modeling skills, especially because I like modeling and it is very frustrating not to have the right method to do what is in my head

• Lighting ► My lighting at that time was very basic. I think I've improved a lot at the moment, but one thing is certain, even if it works in this exercise, I don't want to reproduce such simplistic lighting in the future

WHAT I LEARNED ?

WHAT CAN I IMPROVE IN MY FUTURE PROJECTS ?
